Do you own your own home business? Is your family involved with
your daily business? Yeah, I know at times it seems easier to just
do everything yourself. It is an easy trap to get into. Why take
the time to explain the job, show them how it should be done, make
sure it is done properly, and then possibly have to redo the
project if it is not done to your liking? Yes, we

When we moved 6000 miles away from our families 22 years ago, I
certainly never imagined I would be working in the business my
grandfather established way back when. Way back when ... there was
no internet, no low cost international telephone service, no email,
and no digital photography.

What you thought is enough to start a restaurant business could be
the same thing that may cause your business downfall in less than a
year. You may be an expert entrepreneur or you may have inherited a
family business but have no background about restaurant and
catering at all – no matter the qualifications you have, some
things are better studied first hand than realized later. And later
could be too late.

clicked the "contact us" button of all six, asked one of two
questions and to be added to their mailing lists.

One of the most widely respected and important American
publications of the last century is Forbes Magazine. Forbes
Magazine was founded in 1917 by Scottish immigrant B.C. Forbes (who
was, at the time, the leading columnist for the Hearst newspaper
chain). Forbes was born in Aberdeen shire in Scotland and moved
from Johannesburg, South Africa to New York performing various
editorial and writing gigs just before he founded this vastly
important business publication.

Sound financial business planning means taking ongoing
assessment steps looking at the business from multiple perspectives
including capitalization, expansion, menu concepts, cash flow and
even an exit strategy. Whether you are a chef dreaming of your own
restaurant, the head of a family business discussing succession, an
independent considering retirement or you are thinking about buying
or selling, determining the business market value is a necessary
process for success.

years old and have a career that requires you to wear a name tag,
then to just shoot you!

In Divorce, potential tax liability can frequently become the
tool for one spouse to use against the other spouse. If improperly
used, this tool can destroy all of the marital assets. In the worst
case, tax liability can seriously impact the future financial
security of either spouse and subject them to criminal
sanctions.

Prenuptial agreements are like insurance policies. You do the
paperwork, and then hope you'll never need it. However, since half
of marriages end in divorce within the first seven years, you may
want to consider a prenuptial agreement before you walk down the
aisle and say, "I do."

Is it essential to put your physical, "snail mail" address on a
business card? Some very experienced networkers insist that a
physical address is necessary on a business card, usually because
it makes it easier to mail a brochure or follow up letter after
meeting someone.

A Place In The Sun was one of the 50's most intriguing
films. The release date was October 11, 1951. I celebrated
my third birthday party on that exact date, but it wasn't
until years later that I actually saw that film. As I was
growing older, I developed a big crush, like most of my
friends, on Elizabeth Taylor.

No matter how much we like to see the good guy triumph in the end
and those who have committed crimes be punished for them, we can
never quite shake off that sneaking enjoyment that comes from bad
guys doing what they do and being good at it! Gangster movies have
been a part of American cinema from the beginning and by taking a
quick look at the genre, we definitely can see why.

Winner of three Academy Awards including Best Picture, The
Godfather was nominated for an additional eight Oscars. The
brainchild of celebrated author Mario Puzo, the film is considered
the crowning achievement of Francis Ford Coppola’s directing
career. With intriguing depth, it provides audiences with a glimpse
into the notorious underworld of warring New York crime families.
As a result, The Godfather transformed a number of relatively
unknown actors into Hollywood legends, among them being James Caan,
Al Pacino, and Robert Duvall (all three of whom were nominated for
Best Supporting Actor). In addition, Marlon Brando turns in,
arguably, the most memorable performance of his career. Certainly
among the top five films of all time, an excellent case could be
made that The Godfather is the most perfect movie ever
produced.

Chris Farley and David Spade team up in Tommy Boy, a 1995 comedy
about an incompetent, intellectually-challenged auto-parts heir who
is forced to save the family business following his father’s
untimely death. Utterly hilarious from beginning to end, it’s one
of the best comedies of the 1990s and continues the long tradition
of cult classic comedies that helped cement the careers of former
Saturday Night Live cast members. The onscreen banter between
Farley and Spade is unrivaled, making Farley’s premature death all
the more of a loss. Throughout Tommy Boy, Farley’s unique brand of
Belushi-like humor and good-natured demeanor make this comedic gem
blossom into a masterpiece.
