I've known a lot of people who have lost money when they sold their
homes. In fact, I'm one of those people, and it's happened to me
more than once.

When we think about getting a house ready to sell, we often focus
on the structure itself. We ask ourselves if the walls need
painting, should the carpets be cleaned or replaced, do any of the
plumbing fixtures need to be repaired, etc. However, the item that
is seen first, by every potential buyer that drives by your house,
is your front lawn and garden. Spending some extra time on your
landscaping before you list your

I grew up in a tiny town - so tiny that it doesn't show up on some
maps. Until last year, however, I've spent all my adult life in big
cities. I'm now a happy citizen of a small rural city, along with
about 12,000 other people, give or take a few. When I announced
that I was moving away from the city, my friends were worried that
I'd 'miss out' on all the excitement

In the US and much of the Western world, we equate money with
happiness, even though our personal experience seldom gives us
reason to believe that the old saying "you can't buy happiness" is
anything less than true. We assure ourselves that if we only get a
raise or get a better job or win the lottery, all of the stress of
daily life will disappear and we'll have time for those things in
life we

Nobody enjoys thinking about dog urine stains and odor, but it
happens. Even older dogs have accidents. (And let's also admit that
dogs sometimes do it on purpose in order to mark their territory -
no accident involved).

All my life I've been a little fearful of eating home-canned beans,
because of the rare but potentially fatal illness caused by the
Clostridium botulinum bacterium. The botulinum toxin produced by
this bacterium is one of the most lethal natural toxins known to
man. Now that my organic garden is overflowing with fresh beans,
and I can't possibly eat them all fresh, my mind has turned again
to this microscopic organism, which lives naturally in the
soil.

Many people have asked me what foods they should eat in order to
cut down on the sugar cravings. And in the past I've always had to
say "I don't know."

If you make your living by selling hand-made crafts, you've
undoubtedly spent many hours at local and regional craft shows. As
you already know, finding the right shows, getting accepted, and
creating the display takes a great deal of creativity and time, but
a good show makes the trouble well worth the effort.

Canine parvovirus, sometimes known simply as 'parvo,' is a serious
contagious disease caused by a virus. This illness is spread when
dogs come into contact with the feces of infected animals. Dog
parks, highway rest stops and popular walking trails in cities are
areas where dog feces are often found, and where an unvaccinated
dog may pick up the virus. Humans may also unknowingly bring the
virus home on the bottom of their shoes or on their car tires, so
dogs who never go outside the yard can still be infected with this
disease. The virus can live in the soil or other contaminated
surfaces for as long as six months.
